Dawn Wise

I started working in immigration law as an undergraduate at the University of Michigan in 1992 (forever Go Blue!) and I have been hooked ever since. Before, during, and after my law education at Wayne State University Law School (1999 graduate), I have worked in various environments (law firm, university, government), which has allowed me to develop a broad perspective on immigration law issues.

It is hard to articulate all of the things I love about this field. First and foremost, it is my clients, their drive to succeed and to better their new country while providing the best possible lives for their families. We understand that everything is on the line for you and your family, and I value the trust that each client has placed in us in order to make life plans fall into place. I want to use my knowledge, my attention to detail, and my professional skills to put your mind at ease as you navigate through this very difficult process.

I’m happy to introduce myself as the Case Manager at Irani & Wise, PLC. I joined the firm in July of 2010 and I truly enjoy working with our clients to meet their various immigration needs. From 1997 to 2010, I worked as a consultant in the executive search industry which gives me unique insight into the employment-based immigration cases at our firm.

As a proud Spartan, I earned my Bachelor of Science degree from Michigan State University in 1994 and went on to receive a Master of Science in Human Resource Management from Central Michigan University in 1999.

My favorite part about working at Irani & Wise PLC is getting to know our clients and developing trusted relationships. Whether the client is a large corporation or an individual, we take great pride in being accessible and responsive to the unique circumstances of each case.

On the weekends, you can usually find me spending time with my husband and two sons. We enjoy going to various sporting events and cheering on our favorite MSU Spartan and Detroit Tigers teams. When we’re not on the road, I like to dabble in my photography, cooking, and gardening hobbies.

I have been with Irani and Wise, PLC as the Office Administrator since June of 2010. I graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Detroit College of Business in 1994.

Although my background is primarily in accounting, I have thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to broaden my experience by working for an immigration law firm. The most rewarding part of working at Irani and Wise, PLC has been the chance to meet and assist so many clients and their families with their immigration processes.

I came to Irani & Wise, PLC in June 2002. I never intended to stay for so long, but it has been such a great place to work! Through the years, there have been staff changes and office moves, but one thing has always stayed constant--the good feeling I get from working with great people and being a part of the team to help our clients through the constantly-changing immigration process. Irani & Wise is a unique place where everyone you talk with cares about you!

I have a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and a Master’s degree in Urban and Regional Planning, both from the University of Michigan. In 2004, I received my Master’s degree in Alternative Dispute Resolution from Wayne State University. I am the Office Manager. I am responsible for taking care of the financial aspects of the business. All of my work is done remotely – thank goodness for technology!

In 2010, I moved to Washington, DC with my husband and daughter. We enjoy all that DC has to offer, but some things don’t change--Ann Arbor will always be home!
